- Planning your projects with iPad
- Introduction to the group task
1530 – 1800 Group tutorials and activity
1800 – 1900 Evening Meal
1900 – 2100 Showcase of group activities (St Edmund’s Hall)
Day 2
0730 – 0830 Breakfast
0830 – 0930 Preparation for the day and Mini Keynotes (St Edmund’s Hall) :
0930 – 1230 Activity Session 1
Participants choose three activity types for study during the day
- Fostering Creativity in the Classroom with iPad
- Increasing Productivity and Improving Critical Thinking in the Classroom with iPad
- Developing Workflows for iPad that Impact on Teaching and Learning
- Authoring Engaging Learning Content with iBooks Author
- Publishing and Curating Content with iTunes U Course Manager
- Managing and deploying mobile devices
- Planning for change with iPad and iPod touch
1230 – 1330 Lunch
1330 – 1600 Activity session 2 : as Session 1
1600 – 1800 Free time
1800 - 1900 Evening meal
1900 – 2100 Activity session 3 : as Session 1
2100 – 2300 Networking time.
Day 3
0730 – 0830 Breakfast
0830 – 0930 Introduction to the day and Mini Keynotes (St Edmund’s Hall)
0930 – 1230 Participants develop skills in subject/age group relevant projects.
1230 – 1330 Lunch
1330 – 1600 Participants continue to develop skills in subject/age group relevant projects
1600 – 1800 Free Time
1800 – 1900 Evening meal
1900 – Project cut off time
1900 – 2000 Opportunity to share projects (St Edmund’s Hall)
2000 – until late Projects celebrated in showcase (St Edmund’s Hall)
Day 4
0730 – 0830 Breakfast. Clear Rooms by 9.00am
0830 – 0930 Return loan MacBooks and collect course certificates
0930 – 1030 Plenary and Farewell(St Edmund’s Hall)
Session descriptions
Fostering Creativity in the Classroom with iPad – This session looks at using the iLife Apps in the classroom. GarageBand, iMovie and iPhoto
Increasing Productivity and Improving Critical Thinking in the Classroom with iPad – This session looks at working with the iWork Apps on iPad. Pages, Keynote and Numbers
Developing Workflows for iPad that Impact on Teaching and Learning – This session looks at ways different Apps can be combined to create effective learning outcomes.
Authoring Engaging Learning Content with iBooks Author – This session looks at creating multi touch books with a Mac using iBooks Author
Publishing and Curating Content with iTunes U Course Manager – This session looks at the way the free iTunes U Course Manager can be best used in schools.
Managing and deploying mobile devices – This session looks at the best ways for schools to manage and support their iOS devices
Planning for change with iPad and iPod touch – This session is designed to help schools through the process of planning for an iOS deployment.
