Acceptable Use Policy for those taking Digital Cre8or
General
The following is deemed to be acceptable use of the Digital Cre8or online environment:
- Show consideration and respect to others using the online environment.
- To only submit work in assignments that has been created by you as an individual or as part of a group.
- Include additional material in projects that is either free from copyright restrictions or has been created by you.
- If you include material in projects that has been created by others with their permission you should acknowledge the authors.
- Understand that to copy or plagiarise the work of others is wrong (take the work or an idea of someone else and pass it off as one's own).
- To provide positive feedback on fellow students’ work and avoid the use of inappropriate language and criticism.
- Only post material on the site that will not cause offence to others. Especially in terms of religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and disability.
- When using the online system you should only log in as yourself and not give your login details to anyone else.
- The online system is designed to help users display their creativity. Any attempts at tampering with the system are not condoned.
- Information on this website is potentially accessible from countries that do not have adequate privacy legislation to protect your personal data.
- It is the responsibility of each candidate to make a secure backup of any files uploaded to the Digital Cre8or online tool.
- The course materials provided as part of Digital Cre8or are the property of the British Computer Society, Learning Central and David Baugh. These property rights should be respected by not copying, reproducing, distributing, selling or republishing these materials.
Sanctions
If any user of the Digital Cre8or online system is deemed to have breached these guidelines for acceptable use by a Tutor, Assessor, member of staff of Learning Central or the British Computer Society their login to the online system will be suspended immediately pending an investigation. The outcome of such an investigation could lead to termination of user access and possible legal action.
