Digital
Creator is broken down into 8 units. 5 concentrate on creativity and 3
on how to share your work. You can either take the full qualification
or a 4 unit option Here's more about what the units involve:
Unit A // Digital Audio
Learn about digital audio, what the different formats mean and how
things like mp3's work and can be shared. You'll also learn how to
create and edit your own music from scratch, without having to play an
instrument. We'll also show you how to share all your work in different
ways (like on your iPod) once it's completed.
Unit B // Digital Still Images
Get a better understanding of how digital photo's work and how you can
improve the way you take them. You'll learn how to enhance, edit and
play with your photo's with some great and often funny techniques, from
the simple to the sublime. We'll then teach you some great ways to show
them off!
Unit C // Moving Image Language
Become a budding film maker or just dazzle your friends by learning all
about the language used in film production, from finding out about
camera movements and positions to the different colours and effects
that can be added and then creating your own!
Unit D // Digital Video
Learn all about digital video and how it works - including how to
capture, store, edit and share your videos. We'll show you some great
editing techniques and you'll have great fun creating your films for
family, friends or to start your way on a career in film.
Unit E // Storytelling with Animation
Take on Wallace and Gromit by learning the secrets of creating
impressive animations - we'll show you all you need to know about
timing, movement and combining sound so you can create something you
are really proud of!
